d100 High Tech Bugs

Tech will always fail you. Could roll as flaws in latest products or like a event possibility in any tech game. Friction points are something you accumulate when you consider all the things that go wrong in a mission. Too many points and you call the mission off. New untested tech is a significant risk as is the complexity of operating it and the skill of the operators.

This is a list of cluster fucks for any tech game, go ahead and disappoint your players. Could be handy for failed repair rolls or found items or bargain goods. Flaws can be fixed and overcome. Some items rated by failure per 200 hours use - ideally .002 nice, shitty items much higher.

In game i would make mishap more common - especially in tech dystopia. Especially when players hurriedly upgrading with cool stuff in splatbooks.

This is best for hand held electronics or high tech fire arms. Im assuming most products have batteries, displays and some kind of computer.

Inspired by Scrap princess on G+ post.

Also an earlier post

Cheap Stuff - often under half price - double failure odds - check first d20 hours
-From vending machines
-Knock off bootleg copy
-Superstore bargain
-Ikea kit

Moderate - check every 200 hundred hours for fault
-retailer standard
-rushed custom model

d100 Kobolds for sale

In Shadelport kobolds are popular slaves, useful for hundreds of reasons. From expendable potion testers to door openers, kobolds are working hard. Do remember while cruelty to kobolds in public is not shunned like horse beating, treating them badly in kobold territory could be a problem. As kobolds treat each other often badly treating them a bit better is easy.

Kobolds are easy to store and ship. They tolerate conditions other races would die in. A well cared for kobold lives twice as long as a wild one.

Some religious leaders and a troublesome women's movement claim they have souls and can be almost civilized even deserving the same rights as goblins and orcs. Most people would look twice at a owner beating a kobold to death in the street. Kobolds work with phosphorous in match factories, mines, dye factories and other dangerous jobs. Many humans in the ghettos complain about kobold slaves and would also like to see them emancipated (and cooked in soup). Even urchins and mutants in the ghetto complain. Orcs and goblins dont care about how humans treat kobolds. Orcs rarely acknowledge they are visible. Goblins are happy humans don't treat them like kobolds even if only slightly better.

A few wizards with carpet bags of holding gave up using spells and just used kobolds.

d100 Wasteland Compound Structures

I have some days off so getting to chill and possibly game extra and write.

Rural pitt stops on the road was a early attempt, i have recycledd some data. These tables good for small comunities and has comunity defence tables worth using. These setlements are common on trade routes and welcome travellers. I might convert these into d100 instead one day. Previous post to this one has some useful links too.

Wasteland compounds are settlements off trade routes, mostly completley rebuilt from trash partly using ruins. Most compounds have a wall. Technology is lower. They are not just used by desperate farmers and neo primatives but popular with gangs, cultists, tribals, ferals and others who prefer to live in the forgotten wastes. They make good settings for missions like mad max 2 rescue the village from bandits. They can also be targets for attacks or subterfuge or headquarters of enemies. Corps might use them as covers for black labs.

d10 Walls (can have mixed types)
01 Trash heaped into wall with wire and logs
02 Mesh baskets full of rocks stacked
03 Log stockade with corigated metal sheets
